Stratford softball drops regular-season finale to Gilman

Tigers host Colby in playoff opener Tuesday

STRATFORD — The Stratford softball team had its four-game winning streak snapped with a 4-2 nonconference loss to Gilman on Thursday at Hilgemann Field.

Kiana Weiler took the loss, giving up 10 hits and striking out four.

The Tigers had just three hits in the loss and finish the regular season with a 20-5 record.

Complete statistics were not provided.

Stratford will begin the postseason with a WIAA Division 3 regional quarterfinal at home Tuesday at 4:45 p.m. against Colby (3-14).
