Binder tosses six-hit complete-game shutout for Dons

By Paul Lecker

Sports Reporter

LOYAL — Jeremy Binder scattered six hits and did not walk a batter in tossing the Columbus Catholic baseball team’s second-straight shutout as the Dons blanked Loyal 3-0 in their Cloverbelt Conference East Division finale on Thursday at Loyal High School.

Binder struck out five and added a double at the plate for the Dons (8-10, 8-8 Cloverbelt East), who won their fourth in a row.

Tyler Fuerlinger, Kienan McIntee, and Brett Loveland had two hits apiece to lead the Columbus offense

The Dons will play a nonconference game at Colby on May 28 to finish their regular-season schedule.
