MARSHFIELD — D.C. Everest rallied from an early two-run deficit to knock off Marshfield 7-4 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference softball game Tuesday at the Marshfield Fairgounds.

Marshfield scored runs in the bottom of the first and second innings to take an early 2-0 lead before the Evergreens got to Tigers pitcher Megan Donahue.

Everest (15-8, 8-3 Wisconsin Valley Conference) scored three times in the third, twice in the fourth, and two more times in the sixth to pull ahead 7-2.

Marshfield scored twice in the bottom of the sixth on a two-run single by Alyssa Ede but could not get any closer and falls to 9-12 overall and 3-8 in the WVC.

Donahue struck out 10 but walked eight and allowed 13 hits in suffering the loss for the Tigers.

Marshfield finishes its WVC schedule Thursday at Wausau East.
