GRANTON — Billy Young tossed a one-hit shutout to lead the Columbus Catholic baseball team to its third-straight win, a 14-0 defeat of Granton on Tuesday at Granton High School.

Young struck out nine and walked three to earn the win for the Dons (7-10, 7-8 Cloverbelt Conference East Division).

The Dons scored two runs in the top of the first, led 6-0 after four, and finished off the game with an eight-run fifth.

Will Atkinson had two hits and three RBIs, and Tyler Fuerlinger and Kienan McIntee had two hits and two RBIs each to lead Columbus Catholic.

The Dons wrap up their Cloverbelt East schedule Thursday at Loyal.
