Auburndale baseball powers past Northland Lutheran

Apaches move to 5-6 in Marawood South

AUBURNDALE — Seven different Auburndale players drove in at least one run as the Apaches whipped Northland Lutheran 13-6 in a Marawood Conference South Division baseball game Monday at Auburndale High School.

The Apaches scored five times in the second inning, three times in the fourth, and added four in the sixth to roll to the win.

Collin Hawkins was 3-for-4 with two doubles and scored twice for the Apaches (6-9, 5-6 Marawood South). Aaron Willfahrt and Logan Willfahrt each had two hits, and Kaleb Bolder drove in two.

Cooper Krings earned the win, giving up four runs in five innings. He struck out 10 and walked six.

Auburndale hosts Edgar in a nonconference game Tuesday.
