MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County Theatre Department is holding open auditions for Samuel D. Hunter’s “A Bright New Boise” on Monday, May 18, and Tuesday, May 19, at 6 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre, located in the lower level of the Helen Connor Laird Fine Arts Building.

Students and community members who are interested only need to attend one of the two sessions. Those auditioning will be asked to do cold readings, and no prepared material is required.

Some parts have already been cast, but currently there are roles available for two males (16-30 years old, a teenager and his older stepbrother) and one female (25-60 years old). Rehearsals will begin on or near June 1 and culminate in performances in the second and/or third weeks of July.

For more information contact Theatre Director Damian Ernest at damian.ernest@uwc.edu. To learn more about arts at the UW visit marshfield.uwc.edu/campus/arts.
