Marshfield has six winners at Wisconsin Dells Track Invitational

WISCONSIN DELLS – Two athletes each won a pair of events to lead the Marshfield boys track team to a third place finish at the Wisconsin Dells Invitational on Friday.

Calden Wojt won the 200 meters in 22.90 seconds and 400 meters in 51.10, and Will Spindler took first in the triple jump (42 feet, 3 inches) and the 300 hurdles (41.50).

Tyler Peterson won the discus (144-7) and was second in the shot put (50-5) for the Tigers, who finished with 113 points. Reedsburg won the team title with 128.5 points and DeForest was second with 119.

The Tigers’ 1,600 relay team of Spindler, Hunter McManus, Wojt, and Chris Pahl also earned a runner-up finish in 3:36.10, and Pahl took second in the long jump (20-2) and the triple jump (41-7.5).

Martha Kupfer was the Marshfield girls top performer, winning the triple jump (35-0) and taking second in the 400 (1:02.70).

The Marshfield girls placed sixth with 65 points. Mauston won the team title with 122 points, with DeForest second with 117.

Both Marshfield teams will compete at the Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet at Wisconsin Rapids on Tuesday.
