Columbus Catholic baseball snaps losing streak with win over Owen-Withee

Jeremy Binder strikes out 10, adds two hits for Dons

MARSHFIELD — Marshfield Columbus Catholic scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning and held on the rest of the way to beat Owen-Withee 8-3 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division baseball game Friday at Reeths Field.
The Dons improve to 5-10 overall and 5-8 in the Cloverbelt East and end a five-game losing streak. Owen-Withee is now 5-8-1 and 5-8 in the conference.
Jeremy Binder tossed a complete game for Columbus, striking out 10 and walked just two.
Kienan McIntee had a double and triple, and Tyler Fuerlinger, John Edwards, Binder, and Matthias Gouin added two hits apiece for the Dons.
Columbus Catholic plays at Granton on Tuesday.
