Assumption shuts out Auburndale baseball
Apaches held to two hits in home loss

AUBURNDALE — The Auburndale baseball team was held to two hits and suffered a 5-0 shutout against Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Thursday at Auburndale High School.
Assumption (8-9, 6-4 Marawood Conference South Division) scored twice in the first and three more times in the sixth against Auburndale pitcher Cooper Krings, who tossed a complete game. He struck out nine, and only one of the Royals’ runs was earned.
Auburndale (5-8, 4-5 Marawood South) struck out 18 times in the loss.
Auburndale plays at Marathon on Friday.
