STEVENS POINT — Aubrey Drohner limited Marshfield to just two baserunners as Stevens Point cruised to a 9-0 win over the Tigers in a Wisconsin Valley Conference softball game Thursday at Woyak Park.

Drohner struck out four and did not walk a batter to earn the victory for the Panthers (15-2, 8-1 Wisconsin Valley Conference).

Alyssa Ede had a single in the fifth inning, and one other runner reached on an error for Marshfield’s only two baserunners of the game.

Kayla Kluge suffered the loss for Marshfield, giving up seven walks, 12 hits, and nine runs in a complete-game effort.

“They are a really good team, and we just could not get the bats going at all,” Marshfield coach Mike Voss said. “We hit the ball hard but just could not find a hole at all.”

Marshfield (7-6, 3-5 WVC) plays at nonconference doubleheader at home against Antigo on Saturday.
