MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) hosted its annual Tourism Banquet to thank partners and celebrate the year in tourism at West 14th Restaurant on Thursday, May 7. The Marshfield CVB announced winners from the 2015 Best of Marshfield Area Hospitality & Tourism Survey. This year had over 500 participating entries and included 20 categories.

The Marshfield CVB also awarded $7,000 in total to 11 local and regional organizations that promote tourism in the Marshfield area. Grants were awarded to a wide range of groups including sports tournaments, local arts organizations, attractions, and events that bring visitors to the area.

The Marshfield CVB also announced Wood County will host Farm Technology Days in the summer of 2018 at a farm to be determined near Marshfield. This event last year had over 60,000 visitors and is a major tourism impact in the state.

The Marshfield Convention and Visitors Bureau’s mission is to market Marshfield as a destination to attract visitors to the area and encourage overnight stays at local lodging establishments and create local economic activity.
