STRATFORD — Valieda Crillo had a bases-loaded single to score Lorrie Luepke with the winning run as the Stratford softball team edged Edgar 4-3 in a nonconference game Tuesday at Hilgemann Field.
Stratford (13-3) led 3-0 through five innings before Edgar (3-7) scored twice in the sixth and once in the seventh to tie the game.
Luepke led off the bottom of the seventh with her fourth single of the game, and after two misplayed bunts by Edgar, Crillo dealt the final blow with a single to win it for the Tigers.
Kiana Weiler earned the win, giving up one run in two innings in relief of Luepke, who tossed the first five innings.
Sammy Griesbach and Macie Frueh each had two hits for Stratford.
The Tigers play at Auburndale on Thursday.
