Marshfield girls soccer loses, ties at home triangular

Tigers fall to Pulaski, tie Sparta

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield girls soccer team went 0-1-1 at its home triangular on Saturday.
The Tigers lost to Pulaski 5-0 and tied Sparta 1-1 in action at Griese Park.
Pulaski (10-1-1) dominated play, outshooting Marshfield (3-7-1) 22-1. Brooke Shauer had three goals, and Haley Vanden added a pair of scores for Pulaski.
Marshfield turned the tables against Sparta with a 15-1 shot advantage but could only get one past goalkeeper Jennifer Donais, who had 14 saves.
Maureen Cassidy scored the Tigers’ only goal with 25 minutes left in regulation to tie the score.
Marshfield plays at Wausau East on Tuesday.
