STEVENS POINT — Marshfield’s No. 3 doubles team of Tanner Boson and Tom Kruger took first place at the Stevens Point Boys Tennis Invitational on Saturday at Stevens Point Area Senior High.

Boson and Kruger went a perfect 3-0 to earn the Tigers’ lone first-place finish.

Marshfield had three second-place finishes and ended up second in the team standings.

Bryce Gadke (No. 1 singles), Jacob Limmex (No. 2 singles), and John Weisenberger (No. 3 singles) each went 2-1 to take second place for Marshfield.

The Tigers’ No. 1 doubles team of Dylan Handrich and Sam Trudeau went 2-1 to win the consolation bracket, and the No. 2 doubles team of Austin Christianson and Jared Draxler took third.

The Tigers return to action Thursday with a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet at Stevens Point.
