WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Lorrie Luepke tossed a two-hit shutout as the Stratford softball team grabbed a huge win in the Marawood Conference South Division with a 6-0 victory over Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Friday.

Luepke struck out three, walked just one and allowed only two singles, both by Assumption leadoff hitter Kara Milkey.

Stratford scored three runs in the third, two in the fourth and one in the sixth to pull away.

Dallas Adams had three of the Tigers’ seven hits and scored three times. Brittany Bredemann had a pair of doubles and two RBIs, and Kaylee Geiger also drove in two for Stratford (8-2, 4-0 Marawood South).

Stratford hosts Chequamegon in a nonconference game Monday at 4:45 p.m.
