Neillsville blanks Columbus Catholic baseball

NEILLSVILLE — Jacob Kunze and Sam Neville combined on a three-hit shutout to lead Neillsville past Marshfield Columbus Catholic 6-0 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division baseball game Thursday at Neillsville High School.
Kunze struck out three in five innings, and Neville had four strikeouts in two innings to finish off the shutout for the Warriors (4-0 overall, 3-0 Cloverbelt East).
Neillsville had 12 hits, two each from four different players.
Kienan McIntee suffered the loss the Dons (2-2 overall and Cloverbelt East), giving up five runs in five innings while striking out five.
Columbus Catholic plays at Owen-Withee on Tuesday.
