SPENCER — Spencer pitcher Macie Weber was dominant, striking out 13 batters in five innings, and she went 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI as the Rockets whipped Greenwood 11-1 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division softball game Friday at Spencer High School.

Weber walked four and did not allow a run until the top of the fifth.

Spencer put the game away with a seven-run bottom of the fifth, ending it via the 10-run rule.

Brooke Kettleborough was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored, and three RBIs to lead Spencer.

“Macie was pretty amped and really bringing it tonight,” Spencer coach Jason Gorst said. “She hit her locations and kept the hitters off balance.”

Spencer (4-2 overall, 2-0 Cloverbelt East) will play a nonconference doubleheader at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Monday.
