Abbotsford pulls away late to beat Auburndale softball

AUBURNDALE — The Auburndale softball team dropped its third-straight game to start the season, falling 14-4 to Abbotsford in a nonconference matchup Friday at Auburndale High School.

The game was close with Abbotsford (2-1) leading 5-4 after four innings, but the Falcons scored six times in the fifth inning and added four more in the final two innings to pull away.

Kaeden Dvorak had two hits, and Hannah Bolder drove in three runs for the Apaches (0-3).

Auburndale’s next game is Monday at Colby.
