Marshfield Public Library gets National Library Week started with an April 12 open house
MARSHFIELD — Marshfield Public Library will begin its celebration of National Library week with an open house on Sunday, April 12, from 1-4 p.m. This year promises to be full of positive developments, and you are invited to join in the celebration. View the floor plans, interior images, and conceptual drawings for the new two-story library that is breaking ground this fall. Shelving and travel materials purchased with a $10,000 grant from the Mead Witter Foundation will be on display.
Marshfield’s own Hub City Jazz will be playing from 1:30-3 p.m. on the library’s main floor. Hub City Jazz is a central Wisconsin based jazz combo known for playing jazz standards for dancing and easy listening. Combo members are Brian Finnegan, tenor sax; Chris Johnson, electric guitar and vocals; Randy Lueth, electric bass and stand-up bass; Tricia Marian, vocals; Pat Zdun, trumpet; and Steve Zdun, percussion and vocals. They all share the love of music and working together for an exceptional performance.
Come to the Marshfield Public Library to partake of some tasty refreshments, see some interesting sights, and enjoy an afternoon of jazz.
