Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids’ Sake set for March 27

By Lisa Larson

Executive Director, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wood/Clark Counties

Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids’ Sake with special guest Green Bay Packer Sam Barrington will take place Friday, March 27, from5:30-8:30 p.m. at Rose Bowl Lanes in Marshfield.

All proceeds stay locally and help support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wood and Clark Counties mentoring programs. The night will be filled with bowling, raffles, and the opportunity to meet Barrington. Registration is now open at the Rose Bowl Lanes. Reserve your lane, and register your team. Teams can call Rose Bowl Lanes at 715-387-1114 to register. A team of up to six bowlers costs $100 to register.

Bowl for Kids’ Sake with Sam Barrington will help raise money to support those children on the waiting list that are currently hoping for a volunteer to become their Big Brother or Big Sister and for those already matched with a volunteer. We are in need of 32 more volunteers to give a little of their time to a child two to four times a month.

All children need someone to inspire and encourage their passions and to help them achieve success in life. By signing up to become a Big Brother or Big Sister, you can be that person for a child in your community.

Volunteers and children are matched based on their shared interest and location. Big Brothers Big Sisters is a United Way Partner Program. For more information about Bowl for Kids’ Sake or volunteering, please call 715-387-6198 or email [email protected]
