Pittsville ends Columbus Catholic’s season with win in WIAA Division 5 boys basketball regional semifinal

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team’s season ended with a WIAA Division 5 regional semifinal loss to Pittsville 47-36 on Friday night at Columbus Catholic High School.
The Dons struggled offensively as they tied their second-lowest scoring output of the season with 36 points. The season-low for Columbus came in a 34-31 loss to Pittsville back on Nov. 28. Columbus ends its season with a 15-9 record.
Pittsville (12-12) moves on to a Division 5 regional final at Marawood Conference South Division rival Wausau Newman Catholic (18-6) at 7 p.m. Saturday.
