Auburndale boys basketball eases past Abbotsford

AUBURNDALE — Alex Marth scored 19 points, and Matt Nikolay added 18 points and four assists to lead the Auburndale boys basketball team to a 59-39 victory over Abbotsford in a nonconference game Monday night at Auburndale High School.

Josh VanSchoick added 10 points and five assists for the Apaches, who improve to 14-7.

Auburndale outscored Abbotsford (4-16) by at least four points in each quarter to pull out the victory.

Auburndale will compete in the third-place game of the Marawood North-South crossovers on Thursday at home against Chequamegon at 7:30 p.m.
