PRENTICE — The Stratford girls basketball team closed out its season with a narrow victory, topping Prentice 44-42 in the fourth-place game of the Marawood Conference Crossovers on Friday night at Prentice High School.

Stratford led 20-17 at halftime and by four heading into the fourth quarter, and it held on for the two-point win.

Macie Frueh, despite a tough shooting night (4 of 28), led the Tigers with 11 points. Andie Zuelke added nine points and 10 rebounds in the win.

Stratford finishes the regular season with a 14-8 record. The Tigers will host Stevens Point Pacelli in a WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The winner will move on to a regional semifinal at Auburndale on Feb. 27.

Sidney Wilund led Prentice (11-11) with 12 points.
