Spencer girls basketball falls at home to Gilman

SPENCER — The Spencer girls basketball team lost its third game in a row, falling 37-34 to Gilman in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Thursday night at Spencer High School.

Both teams shot 11 of 40 from the field and made 10 free throws. The difference in the game came down to 3-point shooting. Gilman was 5-for-15 while Spencer was 2-for-5.

Freshman Lexi Baehr had 10 points and five rebounds to lead Spencer in each category.

The Rockets fall to 4-12 overall and 4-10 in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division. Gilman is now 4-13 and 2-11 in the conference.

Spencer’s next game is Monday at home against Rib Lake.
