OWEN — Calvin Lenz scored 15 points, and Spencer had to come back from a late deficit to keep its perfect Cloverbelt Conference East Division record intact.

The Rockets, who trailed by three points entering the fourth quarter, outscored Owen-Withee by five over the final eight minutes to win 40-38 on Thursday night at Owen-Withee High School.

Owen-Withee led 29-26 after three quarters before Spencer came back to improve to 12-1 overall and 9-0 in the Cloverbelt East. Owen-Withee is now 8-5 and 6-3 in the conference.

Spencer shot only 14 of 42 overall and 2 of 12 from 3-point range but was able to pull out the road win. Lenz was the one bright spot of the offense, making 6 of 9 shots and going 3 of 4 at the free throw line.

Austin Milliren had 13 points to top Owen-Withee.
