Marshfield boys hockey blanked at Wisconsin Rapids

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Marshfield boys hockey team was shut out for the second time in three games, losing 6-0 to Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday night at the South Wood County Recreation Arena.
Six different Raiders scored in the victory as Wisconsin Rapids improves to 14-4-1 and 8-2 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.
Marshfield falls to 7-13 and 1-8 in the conference with three games remaining. The Tigers’ next game is Feb. 5 at home against Merrill. The game will be broadcast on WDLB-AM 1450 and wdlbwosq.com.
Haydon Roy-Peterson had 50 saves for the Tigers as Wisconsin Rapids dominated play. The Tigers had just four shots on goal.
