Marshfield girls hockey shut out at Tomahawk

TOMAHAWK — Erika Vallier scored late in the second period for the game’s only goal as Tomahawk shut out Marshfield 1-0 in a Great Northern Conference girls hockey game Monday night at SARA Park.

Marshfield is now 5-9 overall and 4-4 in the Great Northern Conference. Tomahawk moves into a tie with Marshfield for fourth in the conference at 4-4 and is 6-7-1 overall.

Maddie Hall had 24 saves in goal for the Tigers. Erin Sparks saved all 29 shots that came her way for Tomahawk.

Marshfield hosts Northern Edge at 7 p.m. Friday.
