Marshfield gymnastics team wins home triangular

MARSHFIELD — Marshfield had three of the top four finishers in the all-around on its way to a team victory at a home triangular on Tuesday at Marshfield High School.

Marshfield won the team score with 124.025 points, Tomah came in second with 107.425, and Arcadia took third with 87.2.

Olivia Tierney won the all-around title for the Tigers with 33.625 points. She finished first in the balance beam (8.15) and floor exercise (9.4) and was second in the vault (8.425) and the uneven bars (7.625).

Macey Smith and Megan Smith tied for third in the all-around for Marshfield with scores of 30.55.

Megan Smith won the uneven bars with a score of 7.75 for the Tigers’ other individual win.

Marshfield’s next meet is Monday at home against Antigo.

Vault: 1. Klink (A) 8.5; 2. Tierney (M) 8.45; 3. Ma. Smith (M) 8.425; 4. Me. Smith (M) 8.3; 5. Isabelle Jensen (M) 8.05.

Uneven bars: 1. Me. Smith (M) 7.75; 2. Tierney (M) 7.625; 3. Ma. Smith (M) 7.125; 4. Bernhardt (T) 7.1; 5. Jensen (M) 7.0.

Balance beam: 1. Tierney (M) 8.15; 2. Klink (A) 8.0; 3. Bernhardt (T) 7.1; 4. Sydney Jacob (T) 6.925; 5. Ma. Smith (M) 6.85.

Floor exercise: 1. Tierney (M) 9.4; 2. Klink (A) 8.3; 3. Emma Boson (M) 8.2; 4. Ma. Smith (M) 8.15; 5. Bernhardt (T) 7.85.
