Spencer girls basketball uses huge third quarter to whip Greenwood

GREENWOOD — Spencer exploded with a 23-1 run in the third quarter to blow past Greenwood 40-18 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Tuesday night at Greenwood High School.
Spencer led 15-11 at halftime before using the big third-quarter run to turn the game into a rout.
Nadia King scored a team-leading 12 points, and Lexi Baehr added nine for the Rockets (3-6, 3-5 Cloverbelt East).
Greenwood was just 6 of 42 shooting and 0 for 16 from 3-point range.
Spencer’s next game is Friday at Owen-Withee.
