City seeks candidates for Utility Commissioner

MARSHFIELD — The municipal code of the city of Marshfield provides that the five-member Utility Commission be elected by the City Council. Commissioners serve staggered, five-year terms.
Mayor Chris Meyer asks that any Marshfield city resident interested in serving as a commissioner on the Utility Commission for a term beginning immediately and ending Sept. 30, 2017, submit to the Office of the Mayor—in writing—a letter stating his/her qualifications and reasons for wanting to serve on the commission.
Send letters to 630 S. Central Ave., Suite 721 or send an email to [email protected].
This letter must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30. The names of the interested persons will be presented to the City Council at its Feb. 10 meeting. The council will elect one person to the five-member board at its Feb. 24 meeting.
