D.C. Everest hits for four goals in first period, shuts out Marshfield boys hockey

MARSHFIELD — D.C. Everest scored four goals in the first period and rolled to a 5-0 victory over Marshfield in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys hockey game Thursday night at the Marshfield Ice Arena.

J.J. Berdal scored just 47 seconds into the game and added another goal at the 9:22 mark to help the Evergreens (7-3-1, 3-2 Wisconsin Valley Conference) out to a quick lead.

Seth Jaglinski and Dalton Weller added goals in the first period for D.C. Everest.

Marshfield had 20 shots on goal but could not get one past Everest goalie Same Erickson.

Hayden Roy-Peterson had 36 saves for the Tigers (4-9, 0-5 WVC).

Marshfield has a nonconference game at West Salem on Friday.
