Area elementary students compete in City-Wide Geography Bee

MARSHFIELD — The City-Wide Geography Bee was held at Lincoln Elementary School on Thursday, Jan. 8, with 28 students representing Grant, Lincoln, Madison, Nasonville, and Washington Schools as well as Trinity Lutheran.  The city-wide bee is open to students in grades four, five, and six who have excelled in their respective school’s competition in December.

After three elimination rounds, the following students advanced to the championship round: 

  1. Jacob Falkosky, Grant Elementary – 2015 City-Wide Geography Bee Champion
  2. Ian Sennholz, Washington Elementary – first runner-up
  3. Samuel Westenberg, Trinity Lutheran – second runner-up

Jacob Falkosky defended his title, as he was the 2014 City-Wide Geography Bee Champion.
