UW-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball drops tight one at UW-Fond du Lac

FOND DU LAC — Derrick Shivers scored 26 points and hauled down 10 rebounds but the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team came up just short against UW-Fond du Lac, losing 68-64 on Friday night on the road.

The Marauders fall to 4-8 with the loss.

Hunter Busse added 13 points and six rebounds, and Logan Fulwiler had 11 points for the Marauders.

Recent games

Marshfield won at UW-Barron County in Rice Lake last Monday 88-76. Joseph Estrict dominated for the Marauders, scoring 38 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Busse added 24 points, making 5 of 12 3-pointers.

On Dec. 3 Marshfield lost 100-82. Estrict had 24 points, Covon Rudolph added 19, and Shivers had 18.

The Marauders lost at UW-Marinette 76-68 on Dec. 2. Busse scored 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

The Marauders are off for a month now for semester break and return to action Jan. 10 at UW-Washington County in West Bend.
