UW-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball rolls past UW-Washington Co.

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team started the game on a 21-2 run and never looked back, cruising to a 57-29 victory over UW-Washington County on Saturday afternoon at the Marauder Gym.
The Marauders (6-3 overall, 5-1 Wisconsin Collegiate Conference) led 35-10 by halftime.
Mikayla Jankowski and Paige Newman each had 12 points and nine rebounds, and Taylor Lynn added 10 points for Marshfield.
UW-Marshfield held a 53-42 rebounding advantage and held Washington County to 23 percent shooting (12 of 52).
The Marauders play at UW-Barron County in Rice Lake on Monday.
