Stratford girls basketball blasts Northland Lutheran to stay unbeaten

STRATFORD – Macie Frueh had 19 points, six rebounds and six assists to lift the Stratford girls basketball team to another dominating performance as the Tigers routed Northland Lutheran 66-26 in their Marawood Conference South Division opener Friday night at Stratford High School.
Tianna Hughes added 15 points and four rebounds, and Savannah Schillinger had 12 points and four steals for the Tigers, who improve to 5-0.
Hannah Kloehn had eight points to top Northland Lutheran (1-3, 0-1 Marawood South).
Stratford wasted little time putting this one away. The Tigers outscored Northland Lutheran 18-3 in the first quarter and 20-6 in the second quarter to open up a 38-9 lead by halftime.
Stratford will face two of the other top teams in the Marawood South next week, playing at Wausau Newman Catholic on Tuesday and hosting Auburndale next Friday.
