Marshfield boys basketball suffers second-straight loss, falls to Hortonville

FORT ATKINSON – The Marshfield boys basketball team fell to 0-2 after losing 54-41 to Hortonville on the second day of the Fort HealthCare Classic at Fort Atkinson High School on Saturday.

The Polar Bears (1-1) led 20-12 after one quarter and never relinquished the lead. They finished off Marshfield with a 15-8 advantage in the fourth quarter.

Will Spindler led Marshfield with 13 points. Jordan Schlinsog added eight.

Kyle Witthuhn led all players with 16 points for Hortonville.

Marshfield plays a nonconference game at Holmen on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on WDLB-AM 1450 and wdlbwosq.com.
