Stratford girls basketball pulls past Edgar

STRATFORD — Tianna Hughes scored 13 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Stratford girls basketball team to a 45-31 nonconference victory over Edgar on Tuesday night at Stratford High School.
The Tigers outscored Edgar 30-17 in the second half to pull away and improve to 3-0 this season. Edgar is now 1-1.
Macie Freuh scored all nine of her points in the fourth quarter, making 5 of 6 from the free throw line.
Tianna Borchardt had eight points to top Edgar.
