Get to know your neighbor
A weekly feature, “Get to know your neighbor” is a chance to learn more about the residents of Marshfield and surrounding communities. If you would like to be considered as the subject of a future profile, please email the editor, Adam Hocking, at [email protected]. Put “neighbor” in the subject line, and provide a short explanation of why you would like to be featured.
This week’s featured resident is Stacey Ploeckelman. She works at The Kitchen Table restaurant in Marshfield.
Hub City Times: Are you originally from Marshfield?
Stacey Ploeckelman: Yes, originally from Marshfield, I live in Stratford now.
HCT: What do you like about being in this area?
SP: I like it still feels like a safe community. You can leave your doors unlocked if you want or car open maybe, leave a window open, leave a purse sitting at the restaurant.
HCT: Working at the Kitchen Table, which is kind of a staple of the community, do you feel like you yourself are kind of a staple of the community?
SP: Yeah, I see a lot of familiar faces, and repeat customers start to feel like family.
HCT: What do you like to do when you are out and about in Marshfield?
SP: Go bowling. I’m in a bowling league. We like to go to Jurustic Park once in a while. I like to walk at the McMillan Marsh. I guess we go once in a while to get a burger down at Nutz Deep II or (go to) El Mezcal.
HCT: Is it true that you are the world’s biggest Packer fan?
SP: It’s true. I go to all the home games. My whole basement is a collection of all my memorabilia.
HCT: You also go to Packer practices don’t you?
SP: I hit three (this year). I normally like to go to six, but it didn’t work out this year.
