MARSHFIELD—“Columbus Crop” is a scrapbooking event that invites those interested to bring their scrapbooking, card making, crafts, or whatever else they need time to work on Friday and Saturday Oct. 24 and 25 to Our Lady of Peace Parish. The event will be held in the basement, and provides space for those interested to work on their projects.
The festivities begin at 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. on Saturday. The event closes each night when guests are done working. Attendees are invited to drop in or stay the entire time.
Ink pads, stamps, die cut plates, machines, and other supplies will be available to use as well as scrapbooking advice and ideas. Dinner is provided on both days, and there will be a continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own beverages. Those that will require electricity for their projects are asked to bring a power strip and extensions cords.
The cost of attending the event is $40 and covers Friday and Saturday for those interested in coming both days. Children 10 and older are welcome if they have parental supervision and their registration fee is paid.
Money raised at the event will go to the Columbus Parent Association, which helps support field trips, family gatherings of Columbus Catholic schools, and purchasing teacher supplies. Our Lady of Peace Parish is located at 1414 W. Fifth St. in Marshfield.
