GILMAN – Kallie Reckner had 22 assists in her second start filling in for setter Brooke Kettleborough and Marisa Johnson had 12 kills, two aces and 16 digs to lift the Spencer volleyball team to another 3-0 sweep in Cloverbelt Conference East Division action Thursday at Gilman High School.
The Rockets won 25-12, 25-16, 25-10, to improve to 18-1 overall and 4-0 in the Cloverbelt East. Gilman is now 0-4 in the conference.
Macie Weber added nine kills and four blocks, Courtney Buss had 18 digs and Jenna Schober had 16 digs for the Rockets.
“We played a little better team game than on Tuesday (against Columbus Catholic),” Spencer coach Buff Heller said. “We still need to increase our energy level.
“We did a much better job rallying around Kallie Reckner setting than last time out. She was solid again filling in for Kettleborough.”
Spencer will compete at the Bud Nelson Invitational at Abbotsford on Saturday and returns to its Cloverbelt East schedule with a match at home against Colby next Tuesday.
