MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls golf team had its strongest finish of the season, taking second place at the final leg of the Clover Valley Golf League Tournament on Thursday at Marshfield Country Club.

The Tigers shot a combined score of 190 to finish in second place, 10 shots behind Stevens Point. Osseo-Fairchild was third by three shots over Eau Claire Regis.

Stevens Point’s team victory, along with O-F taking third, left the two in a tie for the overall conference championship.

Marshfield, the defending Clover Valley champion, pushed its way into fourth place in the overall team standings.

Molly Field again led the Tigers, finishing fifth with a 45. She ended up third in the final individual standings to earn first-team all-Clover Valley honors.

Ana Jensen tied for seventh with a 47, Jordyn Fitzgerald tied for 10th with a 48, and Patty Jo Bloczynski had a 50 for the Tigers.

Jensen ended up 11th and Fitzgerald in a tie for 12th in the final individual standings, and were named honorable mention all-Clover Valley.

Hannah Otteveare of Eau Claire Regis and Amanda Peterson of Osseo-Fairchild tied for the top spot in the individual standings.
