OWEN – The Spencer volleyball team opened its Cloverbelt Conference East Division schedule with a 3-0 victory over Owen-Withee on Thursday night at Owen-Withee High School.

The Rockets cruised 25-12, 25-12, 25-20, to improve to 10-1 overall.

Marisa Johnson had 14 kills and 20 digs, Macie Weber added 13 kills and three aces, and Brooke Kettleborough had a team-high 24 assists for Spencer.

Courtney Buss and Julie Berres also had 20 digs each for the Rockets.

“We came out realy strong and got a little lazy in Game 3,” Spencer coach Buff Heller said. “We just seemed to dominate them at the next and it forced them to roll and tip a lot.”

Spencer will compete at the Auburndale Invitational on Saturday.
